Welcome to Delhi 6 Jaipur — Where Heritage Meets Flavour
You know that feeling when you’re walking through Chandni Chowk on a winter evening? The smoke from the kebab stalls mixing with the cool air, the chaos of vendors calling out, someone’s grandmother haggling over the price of jalebis. Old Delhi gets under your skin. It’s messy, loud, overwhelming — and absolutely unforgettable.
We wanted to bottle up that feeling and bring it to Jaipur. That’s how Delhi 6 started.
Tucked away in C-Scheme, our restaurant isn’t trying to be fancy for the sake of it. We’re just really passionate about the food we grew up eating — the kind that makes you close your eyes after the first bite and smile a little. The recipes our grandmothers guarded like secrets. The street food we’d sneak out to eat as teenagers.
Old Delhi on a Plate — Real Food, Real Flavours
Look, we’re not going to pretend we invented these dishes. They’ve been around longer than any of us. What we did was spend years perfecting them — testing, tasting, arguing in the kitchen about whether the garam masala needed more or less heat.
Here’s what people keep ordering again and again:
Butter Chicken Delhi Style – Honestly? This one’s personal. We’ve tried butter chicken everywhere, and most places either make it too sweet or too tomato-heavy. Ours hits different. It’s smoky from the tandoor, rich without being heavy, and the gravy… let’s just say you’ll want extra rotis.
Seekh Kebabs & Galouti Kebabs – These took us forever to get right. The seekh needs to have that slight char, and the galouti should literally melt. Not metaphorically melt — actually dissolve on your tongue. That’s the test.
Paneer Tikka Masala – We didn’t want to make “just another paneer dish” for vegetarians. The paneer’s marinated overnight, the spices are roasted fresh every morning, and the masala has this depth that comes from cooking it low and slow. No rushing.
Matka Phirni – My personal favorite. There’s something about eating phirni from a clay pot that regular bowls just can’t match. Maybe it’s psychological, but it tastes better this way. Trust me on this.
Everything’s made from scratch. The spices are ground in-house because pre-ground stuff loses its soul within days. We don’t take shortcuts because, honestly, you’d taste it immediately.
A Royal Dining Experience in Jaipur
C-Scheme can be hectic, but once you step into Delhi 6, it’s like someone turned down the volume on the city. We’ve kept the décor warm and understated — think old Mughal elegance without the over-the-top gold everywhere. Soft lights, comfortable seating, and always that smell of food being cooked fresh.
Families come here for Sunday lunches. Couples pick this spot for anniversaries. We’ve had business meetings happen over our dal makhani (apparently, good food makes negotiations smoother). Whatever brings you here, we’re just happy to feed you well.
Come hungry. Leave happy. That’s the deal.RetryClaude can make mistakes. Please double-check responses. Sonnet 4.5
